While attending Georgetown University Law Center, I participated in the school’s Criminal Justice Clinic and found that I loved practicing law, particularly in the context of serving the indigent. For approximately the next twelve years, I practiced law in various forums and jurisdictions. During my practicing career, I was fortunate to work with lawyers and law students whose enthusiasm for the law was matched only by their commitment to ensure that it is practiced with integrity and the highest level of professionalism. I joined Zenner Consulting because it provides me the opportunity to work with people who share my passion for the law, philosophical commitment to excellence and fundamental belief that the practice of law is and should be a challenging and rewarding career.

I began my career with a public interest Fellowship from Skadden, Arps providing civil legal services to indigent battered women. After my Fellowship, I became a Clinical Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School where for the next four years, I practiced law, supervised law students and taught seminars on related subject matters. In an effort to obtain more courtroom experience, I relocated to New York and became a full-time public defender in Brooklyn. Later, I was appointed to be Director of the Family Advocacy and Support Program at Stanford Law School and thus returned to clinical education. I subsequently returned to Chicago and after a brief foray into private practice, I was given the opportunity to join Zenner Consulting.

My legal career has provided me with extensive knowledge of private and public law sector practices, leaving me uniquely qualified to assist other lawyers as they evaluate their careers, or search for other attorneys. Over the years, I have spent a great deal of time assisting law school classmates, former colleagues and former law students examine their career goals in the context of their skills, talents, and personal lives. I currently serve as a consultant to The Office of Career Services at the University of Chicago Law School and remain active in the public interest law community. I look forward to working with you.
